The wood block is carefully prepared, the areas to show white are cut away with a knife, chisel, or sandpaper leaving the design to show in black at the original surface level. The block is inked and brought into firm and even contact with the cloth and then struck on the back with a wooden mallet to ensure a good impression.

While these are pre-washed, in case you are buying this for personal wear, we advise getting an additional dry-cleaning done. Dry-clean is $3 extra and will take 3-4 days additionally to ship.
