Mid-Century Gay Fad Ivy newest Design Frosted Glass Punch Bowl with 12 Cups

newest Nothing says mid-century as much as the ivy design that was popular on so much of the kitchenware, china, and serving pieces during the 1950's and early '60. This lovely punch bowl in frosted glass was decorated by the Gay Fad Studios. Fran Taylor, the founder of Gay Fad Studios, began by decorating home goods and glassware in her home before opening her business in 1945 and remained in business until 1962. Her studio purchased "blanks" from Anchor Hocking, Hazel Atlas, and Federal glass, and then she and her staff hand painted their designs on the pieces. Gay Fad Studios was world-renowned for its detailed patterns and vibrant colors, and their pieces were highly sought after then as they still are today.

This lovely bowl has a undulating garland of green ivy leaves sitting on a green and brown vine. The colors are vivid against the frosted glass and make quite a statement. The cups have two ivy leaves on one side along with a small section of the vine. This superb set would be ideal to serve champagne punch at a brunch, buffet dinner, or for a wedding or bridal shower. It would also make a great salad serving bowl or would look wonderful on your kitchen counter holding fruit. Use your imagination for all the ways to use this great piece.

**Condition - This set is in excellent vintage condition. The graphics are strong with no loss, and there are no cracks or chips on any of the pieces. Remember that vintage items have had a former life and are not perfect, which adds to their charm.
